Radomize Banners With Got Banners
I’ve gotten a couple of questions on how I display and rotate the 125×125 sponsorship buttons and generally speaking, when more than one person asks a question, there are usually several others that are interested but don’t ask.
Got Banners Wordpress Plugin
The Got Banners Wordpress Plugin is a randomizing banner plugin that was originally developed for John Chow by Shrihari Sankaran of Got Chance. The great thing about this plugin is that it displays all banners simultaneously and in a random order every time the page is reloaded. By doing this, it ensures that all spots are equal and that all advertisers get even exposure.
In Their Words
Got Banners is a simple banner rotating plugin for wordpress. Unlike other banner rotators, Got Banners displays all the banners provided simultaneously. But, in a different random order each time.
Installation and Usage
As with most WordPress plugins, the Got Banners plugin is a snap to install, just upload to your plugins directory and activate from the WordPress administration area.
To use the plugin you can either use the sidebar widget or manually enter some php code in your sidebar. Both versions are included and supported in the plugin.
All that’s left now is to enter your banner codes. The Got Banners plugin can support an unlimited number of banners, as long as their the same size, and setting them up is a breeze. In your WordPress admin area navigate to Options -> Got Banners. Just enter your code the way you normally would and separate each banner with a Tilde sign (~).

This plugin won’t replace some of the bigger ad managers, but if you need a simple solution to randomize your ad banners, this is a fantastic plugin.

So I gotta ask Mr. Avg Joe, where do you find all this information?? You have a lot of good stuff here.
Would you recommend any books to those of us who are just getting into blogging?
This is exactly what I have been looking for. Thanks! Now I can rotate my ads so that it doesn’t look too monotonous to readers.
Nice resource. I think there are some other similar plugins, although I have not used any of them.
