Average Joe Blogger - A Winner of The Blogger Challenge
If you remember, a little over a month ago, I entered a competition that was being hosted by Bryan over at OneMansGoal called The Blogger Challenge. The competition was based on Technorati authority, Technorati favorites, and Alexa rank. The winner was whomever could increase their rating by the highest percentage over the course of the competition.
I was entered into the lightweight division and came out the winner for Technorati Fans. Thanks to Bryan for hosting the competition and congrats to the other winners.

Congrats! Nice accomplishment.
Wow, congratulations! I’m really liking your site more and more. (I loved the masthead and the catchy square banner you have at John Chow’s.) Anyway, I wish I could have joined that contest as a good motivation. Enjoy your stream of new subscribers!
Congrats - I found your site through his. New blogger and learning the ins and outs. You have a very clean design - may I ask what blogging platform you use and what your technical expertise is? I was told my “OneMan” to get off blogger.com and get a stand alone site but want to see if its possible for a non techie to do!
thanks and congrats
p.s. it looks like word press - .org or .com? thanks!
healthynerd: It really was a good motivator and forced me to push a little harder.
TraderMark: I’m running a self hosted (wordpress.org) version of WordPress. Setting up WordPress really fairly simple and if your hosting provider has it set up as a one click install, it’s a piece of cake. I’d be happy to help you get it set up if needed.
Wow, you’re winning a lot of things!
TraderMark,
I would also recommend WordPress. There is so much flexibility and the learning curve (to do more advanced things) is not that bad.
Congrats on the win!
TraderMark: I’ll third the recommendation for WordPress!
I know I recommended it originally… but I just want to reiterate my vote for wordpress!
