One of the best (and worst) things about WordPress is that it’s constantly being tweaked and upgraded to squash bugs and add new features. It’s great because it’s features and abilities are always current. It’s bad because every time you turn around there is another upgrade you must perform. And when you are responsible for maintaining several WordPress installations, it can become very time consuming.

While the standard WP-Cache plugin has been a staple among WordPress users, it hasn’t been updated or improved in quite some time. That is until now. Donncha O Caoimh has taken the original WP-Cache plugin, made some upgrades and released the WP-Super-Cache plugin.

Custom Query String Gets Reloaded For WordPress 2.3
The latest to take the reigns is Moshu. Moshu has taken the Custom Query String (CQS) plugin, along with Andy’s UTW integration idea, and made it all work with the WordPress 2.3 and it’s new tagging function.

Community Cloud Plugin
The Community Cloud is a plugin that was recently developed by the good folks at Web Addicts. The plugin displays a “tag cloud” of all the people in your community (blog) who have added value by commenting and participating in discussions. The more a person has commented, the bigger and bolder their link is.

Notify Unconfirmed Subscribers Plugin
If you have been offering RSS Feeds and Email Subscriptions on your site for any length of time, you will likely have at least a few subscribers that have not confirmed or activated their subscription. There are many reasons why a subscriber might not have confirmed their subscription. Maybe it got caught in their SPAM filter, maybe it got deleted by accident or maybe their dog ate it.
