Are Your FeedBurner Email Subscriptions Unreadable?

July 19, 2007 | Blogging Tips

I just became aware that emails sent by FeedBurner’s Email Subscription for Average Joe Blogger are basically unreadable. The font size of these emails are so ridiculously small not even someone with the best of eyesight could read them.

After poking around FeedBurner’s website I found the solution. It was easy enough to fix and I’m surprised I never realized it was there to begin with. For those interested here are the steps to fix the font size issue if you are experiencing it.

1. Login in to your FeedBurner account.

Feedburner Email Subscription2. Click on the ‘Publicize’ tab.

3. Click on the ‘Email Subscription’ link in sidebar.

4. Click on the ‘Email Branding’ link.

5. Then just choose your desired font size and color for heading and body text.

6. Click Save.

If you don’t already subscribe to your own RSS and email feeds, then you should take this opportunity to do it now. This is the only sure way to know exactly how your content is being displayed. Better that you see and fix any problems before your readers have to inform you or worse, just unsubscribe.

Thank you! That has been bugging me for a few days. Now I can’t scratch that off my “bug me” list. :)

I’m not sure why this starting happening. The first emails were fine, then all of sudden they started displaying really small.

I have 2 other blogs and they are displaying correctly.
